Dr. Maria Kosmetatou

Dr. Maria Kosmetatou is a Rheumatologist with experience in the diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory rheumatic diseases.

She graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras in 2015 and participated in the Erasmus program at the University of Nantes in France.

She trained in Internal Medicine at the Korgialenio Benakeio Hospital (NIMTS) in Athens.

She completed her specialty in Rheumatology at the Rheumatology Unit of Attikon University General Hospital. During her training, she gained experience in managing a wide range of autoimmune diseases and received additional training in specialized clinics and units, including the outpatient Geriatric Clinic of Attikon University Hospital, the Rheumatology Clinic of Hippokration General Hospital of Athens, as well as Nicosia General Hospital.

She holds a postgraduate degree in “Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Health” from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

She has a particular interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) and geriatric rheumatology. She actively participates in scientific conferences and research activities, with presentations at international conferences of the European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR).

Since 2025, she has also been serving as the Country Liaison for Cyprus in the EMEUNET/EULAR network of young rheumatologists.
